When Eating Healthier Backfires

Two weeks ago I started a new diet which I’m really not calling a diet since it’s more about eating better. I cut out diary, carbs, sugar and processed food and was only eating fruit, veggies, beans, nuts and meat. I was doing really well the first week and actually started to enjoy it. Then after a few days I noticed my milk supply took a dip 🙁 I’m a just enougher and I feel like anything I do affects my supply, whether it’s changing my eating habits or working out. I’m still working out 2-3 times a week but […]

Our New Home

Hi Everyone!!! So it has been a looooong weekend and it seems like it just doesn’t end! Just some history- we were supposed to close on this house December 30th but the seller had an emergency and left the country so we had to reschedule for the Jan 6th. The people buying our house were gracious enough to let us stay a little longer in our old house but that meant we had less time to get everything out once we did close on the new house (4 days compared to 7). We finally closed last Friday on our new home and […]

Can’t Believe We’re Here! | Barcelona, Spain

Hello from Spain! Can’t believe we’re actually here! It’s always been a dream of mine to come to Barcelona and it’s truly a remarkable city. Our first day here was rough (like any first day when traveling across the world). We got here early morning on Saturday and had to wait until our airbnb was ready and that wasn’t until like 3pm! We were so exhausted and ended sleeping on benches in a nearby park while we waited…lol! Do what you gotta do! Once we got our apartment we settled in and later than night we headed to see Barcelona […]

Georgia Aquarium

Hi There! It’s been over a month since I’ve posted and sorry about that! Life has been a little hectic but I’m back 🙂 Both grandmas have been out of town which means I don’t really have anyone to take care of my Callie bear and I had to take a few days off last week (not complaining!) I’m so happy I was able to spend time with Callie. Joshio took off on Friday and we decided to take Callie to the aquarium for the first time. She absolutely loved it and had a blast watching the Sea Lions and […]

Summer Makeup | Wedding Style

Hi There! I love the bright colors of summer but I hate the humidity and how my face gets sooo greasy. I have combo skin but I think it leans more towards oily (especially in the summer). I feel like it got super hot, super quick here in Atlanta and that small window we had to be outdoors without drenching in sweat is over (tear drop), but if you can stand the heat and eventually get out, here’s a look to try out. I recently went to a friend’s wedding and I wanted to play with some colors that matched my […]

8 (AFFORDABLE) SUMMER ESSENTIALS

Summer isn’t officially here yet (although it feels like it in Atlanta!) but I wanted to share a few things that I’ve been loving this season so far and have used continuously. Oh! and they’re affordable!! 🙂 (click on each pic for direct link to item) KIMONOS- Kimonos are great because they are multipurpose. You can use them as a swimsuit cover up, over a sleeveless or topless dress or with a tank and shorts. Oh and you can use them as a stroller cover…lol 😀 (true story-I used my kimono to cover the stroller when Callie was sleeping. It was the […]

GRADUATION DAY!

Today was the day we had waited for, for a looooong time. Six years ago, my husband Joshio embarked on a journey that he didn’t expect to take that long. He started school expecting some credits from community college in LA to transfer over but they weren’t accepted and what he thought would take two years to complete, took six! Working full-time and having a child during this process was not easy. It took a lot of patience, dedication and time. There were so many moments when he wanted to give up but he had a goal and vision to […]

That’s how I found out about this place and I told them that I just had to bring Joshio here! It’s a weird combination, Egyptian and Japanese-lol. The owners are Japanese so they also sell sushi here. The weather was beautiful, a little windy, but still a gorgeous day to be outside. We ordered the mixed sandwich (which is […]
