This past Saturday we went to the 7th annual Harvest Balloon Festival. We went last year for the first time and had a great time. Last year, we had gotten there early and left early before the balloons arrived because Callie was done for the day. As you can see from this post, it was much less crowded last year which is what I prefer. Side note- one reason I love blogging is to see things like this, how different things are from last year to now and be able to look back. Pretty cool.
Anyway, this year we decided to show up later to be able to see the balloons float in the night sky but to be honest it was really crowded and chaotic. Callie was able to ride a pony for the first time ever and she loved it! I thought she would be scared but she kept on wanting to ride, she’s such a brave little girl. We had some BBQ, rested a little on the lawn while it drizzled and then headed out. We grabbed some pizza and frozen yogurt afterwards and then I snuggled up in bed pretty much the rest of the night. 🙂
On another note, we put an offer in on a house yesterday! Exciting news huh!? We’ve been working on this house hunting and decision making for awhile now and just yesterday decided to put an offer in on a house that we fell in love with the minute we walked in. House buying is a hard decision but we’ve left it in God’s hands and told him to open the doors that need to be opened and shut those that need to be shut. If we get the house, we will be happy. If we don’t get the house, we will be happy. I’ll keep you guys posted! Hope you guys had a great weekend!Share This:
