The answer is, YES!
So the other day I was thinking about my problems. Don’t we all? There comes a time throughout our day that we just sit there sometimes and think about what we’re going through, why are we going through it, and end up giving our selves a pity party without even knowing it.
It’s so easy to do that sometimes.
A few days later, I was listening to the radio on my way to work (like I always do) and heard about a lady who’s son was fighting a brain tumor. On another occasion I was scrolling through FaceBook and read about a lady who’s parents accidentally left her 11 month baby in the car and the baby passed away. Another day, I saw a video of a little girl that had a normal/happy life that was shaken my surrounding wars and violence.
After hearing all these stories and then thinking again about my problem, I actually felt really stupid. I can’t believe that I had spent so much time in my despair or frustration when there are soooo many things that I should be happy for and thankful I’m not going through.
I saw this picture on FB, it was on a page called VolunteerSpot but I’m not sure who originally posted it:
I felt like it was perfect for this post. Don’t forget to always think positive and remember these two things:
- That not matter what you are going through, it could be worse.
- And if you’re going through a really difficult situation, just remember “this too shall pass”
I feel like these two statements are true for any situation. Telling myself these two phrases have really helped me get through a lot and hopefully will help you too. 🙂
