Hello from Spain!
Can’t believe we’re actually here! It’s always been a dream of mine to come to Barcelona and it’s truly a remarkable city. Our first day here was rough (like any first day when traveling across the world). We got here early morning on Saturday and had to wait until our airbnb was ready and that wasn’t until like 3pm! We were so exhausted and ended sleeping on benches in a nearby park while we waited…lol! Do what you gotta do!
Once we got our apartment we settled in and later than night we headed to see Barcelona (and Messi) play 🙂 I’m not a huge soccer fan but it was a fun experience and I loved seeing how excited Joshio was.
Today we caught up on some sleep and didn’t leave the house until 2pm! which is ok I guess since you’re out and about here until 1am. We headed to the Gothic Quarters (Barrio Gotico) and walked for hours. The streets with shops and restaurants are endless. We saw the Catedral De Barcelona, walked Las Ramblas and had yummy Gelato.
It was a great day and we saw so much of the city. Now it’s off to bed and get some rest for tomorrow.
