Wekiwa Springs

So while everyone was driving up north to evacuate Florida, we’re over here having a darling time at Wekiwa Springs…lol. But seriously, we were planning on leaving Thursday anyway and I figured traffic was going to be bad no matter what time we left so I insisted we stop at the springs and I am happy we did! The water was freezing but after a few minutes you’re body adjusts and gets numb. This was our last outing before heading home. I really enjoyed this vacation and wanted to soak it all in since I’m pretty sure it’s the only […]

Cocoa Beach

Hi Friends! So we’ve been here in Orlando on a family vacation with my sister, her husband, my brother and his family and my parents. It’s been great but its soo funny how something ALWAYS happens to us (my family specifically) when we come, lol. Last year we came with Callie and she got an ear infection and the year before that we came again with the family and Joshio lost the van keys while we were at downtown Disney. We ended up calling a lock smith and had to pay $300 for a new key. Well this year we […]

Mom Life

Shirt: AnsleighGraceDesigns Hi Friends! About a week or two ago Joshio brought home some donuts from work and they were soooo good. They’re small, gourmet donuts of all different flavors and I tore them up the minute he got home! Ever since then I wanted more and we finally went to Downtown Duluth to get them. They’re from a little shop called Simply Done Donuts…soooo yummy! Before donuts, we ate at an Italian restaurant (Piatto) that had a separate play area for kids with a free babysitter! Best idea ever! Callie loved playing in there and didn’t want to leave, […]

Blondie

Hi Friends! So we all know I love to take pictures, right? 🙂 The top pictures in this post are actually from a Sunday we went to eat at Red Lobster (which I hate) after church. I saw the red wall and couldn’t resist-haha! They’re also good “before” pics of what my hair looked like since it had been months since touching it up. I love taking random pictures though mainly because I like documenting our day to day. A few memories from this day- Callie ordered a daiquiri (virgin of course), she saw how pretty and colorful it was and […]

When Eating Healthier Backfires

Two weeks ago I started a new diet which I’m really not calling a diet since it’s more about eating better. I cut out diary, carbs, sugar and processed food and was only eating fruit, veggies, beans, nuts and meat. I was doing really well the first week and actually started to enjoy it. Then after a few days I noticed my milk supply took a dip 🙁 I’m a just enougher and I feel like anything I do affects my supply, whether it’s changing my eating habits or working out. I’m still working out 2-3 times a week but […]

Baby Jacob | 4 Months

Hi There! Jacob turned four months last week and I wanted to document a few things before I forget! When he was born I kept thinking, what did we do with Callie? How was she sleeping at this stage? How much was she eating? It’s crazy how we forget all the small things that at the moment are so important. So here we go… Jacob is such a sweetheart! However, in the beginning he was a very complicated and a fussy baby…lol. He was a lot harder to figure out than Callie and was always fussing about something. He […]

6 Weeks Later

^Scared I was going to drop her^ lol So, 6 weeks later after delivering baby Jacob and I’m alive and well lol. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, adjusting to having a newborn at home and our new family dynamic but I feel things have settled a bit and we are adjusting well to our new normal. It’s getting easier to go out and enjoy life and do things outside of the house. Callie has adjusted well and is totally in love with Jacob. She kisses him all the time, baby talks him, and always wants to caress him. […]
